Create A Goal Setting Chart

by My Web Writers

Start with Goal Setting

You know about goals.  Maybe you’ve even written yours down.  However, like exercising, sometimes great ideas go by the wayside.  Since it’s February, your New Year’s resolutions may be waning.  Freshen up for the spring.  Write down your goals and post them near your computer.  Communicate them to your staff.  Start putting your ideas into action.

Maybe this is your year to get the website functioning.  But how?  Where do you start?  Goal setting is relevant to personal ambitions as well as project must dos.  The following chart can be printed off and used for a variety of goal setting needs.

My Goal Setting Chart

Setting goals to master your “purpose” will give your life or your project direction.  “Purpose” is your reason for being or your project’s reason for being.  Why are you here today?  Why is this project valuable?

My Purpose Is As Follows:

Fill in your long range goals.  These goals should reflect how you see the future today.  Project your long-range goals up to ten years in the future.  Where do you want your life, your company, your website, your finances to be in five to ten years from today?

In order to reach your long range goals, you’ll need to satisfy intermediate goals.  These should be specific and actionable.  Create at least three intermediate goals that correspond to each of your above long range goals. Mid-goals range in time from one year to five years from today.

To keep on task toward your intermediate and long range goals, you’ll need to establish short range goals.  List specific tasks to start today. Project up to a year from now.  Short-range goals are building blocks to your intermediate goals.

Goal setting is used by top-level athletes, successful business-people and achievers in all fields. Setting goals gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation. It focuses your acquisition of knowledge, and helps you to organize your time and your resources so that you can make the very most of your life.’
